Eligible Students
A transfer student is any student who has earned college credits at another accredited institution after completing high school or a GED.
Who can apply?
- Students interested in aviation, business, or accounting
- Students from accredited two- or four-year institutions
- Students returning from out-of-state or online colleges
- Students looking to change majors or programs
- Students who started degrees but didn’t finish elsewhere
Admissions Requirements
Transferring to Academy College is straightforward. Submit your application and official transcripts. We’ll evaluate your credits for transfer. The Director of Education considers credits from accredited colleges and universities that meet the following criteria:
- Courses are similar in objective and content to those offered at Academy College
- Courses can be applied toward specific program requirements or graduation requirements
- Credits were earned within a recent timeframe for certain technical courses
- The letter grade earned was a “C” or higher
Requirements:
- $40 application fee
- Completed online application (about 15 minutes)
- Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities
- Immunization form (may be submitted up to 45 days after classes begin)

- Register for classes: Work with your academic advisor to choose courses and create a first-quarter schedule.

Academy College offers four start dates throughout the year, giving you the flexibility to begin when it works best for your life.

Good questions
How many credits can I transfer?
Academy College accepts all credits that meet our requirements. A minimum grade of “C” and course relevance are considered.
Do transfer students need to submit SAT/ACT scores?
No. Standardized test scores are not required.
What if my previous college was out of state?
Not a problem. As long as the institution is accredited, your credits will be evaluated.
Can I transfer from an online program?
Yes. Your credits will transfer if they come from an accredited institution and its courses align with our curriculum.
Is there a maximum number of credits I can transfer?
While most credits that meet our requirements are accepted, a portion of your coursework must be completed at Academy College to earn your degree.
Can I transfer credits from military training or professional certifications?
In some cases, yes. Talk with an admissions representative to learn if your prior training can be evaluated for credit.
Do transfer students qualify for financial aid or scholarships?
Yes. Transfer students are eligible for the same financial aid and scholarship opportunities as first-year students.
