FAQs
Good questions
How do I apply for VA education benefits?
Start by visiting the official VA site. Submit your application online. Once approved, you’ll receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Provide a copy of your COE to Academy College’s Financial Aid Office so we can certify your enrollment. Veterans can also manage their benefits at eBenefits.
Do I qualify for both a tuition discount and VA benefits?
It depends. If you qualify for 100% Post-9/11 GI Bill® coverage, you may not be eligible for the Academy College tuition discount. Our Financial Aid Office can help clarify how your benefits apply.
Does the Yellow Ribbon Program cover flight costs?
No. Flight costs for Aviation programs are considered additional charges and are not covered by Yellow Ribbon.
Can dependents use transferred GI Bill® benefits at Academy College?
Yes. If your benefits are transferable and approved by the VA, dependents may apply them toward tuition and fees at Academy College.
Where can I find official information about military and veteran education benefits?
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides the most current details on eligibility requirements, monthly payment rates, and application steps for each program. Visit www.benefits.va.gov/gibill for official information.
