Admissions Requirements
Here’s what you’ll need to apply to Academy College.
Requirements:
- $40 application fee
- Completed online application (takes about 15 minutes)
- High school diploma or GED certificate with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Official high school transcript (electronic submission preferred for faster processing)
- Immunization form
- FERPA disclosure
- Submit other required documents
Enrollment Process
Your path to becoming an Academy College student is straightforward and supported every step of the way.
Steps to enrollment:
- Connect with us: Request information online or talk with an admissions representative.
- Submit your application: Complete the online form with basic information.
- Send transcripts: Request that your official high school transcripts be sent to Academy College.
- Review financial options: Meet with our financial aid team to explore grants, scholarships, and payment plans.
- Register for classes: Work with your academic advisor to choose courses and create a first-quarter schedule.

Good questions
What counts as a first-year student?
You’re a first-year student if you’ve never attended college after high school graduation.
Is it true that I don’t need SAT or ACT scores?
Yes! Academy College doesn’t require standardized test scores. We evaluate applications based on your high school completion and your motivation to succeed.
What if my grades weren't great in high school?
We look at more than just grades. If you have a high school diploma or a GED, you can apply.
Can I start college before graduating high school?
Yes. Our Learning for Life program lets qualified high school seniors take college courses.
What if I graduated high school years ago?
Not a problem. If you’ve never attended college, you’re still considered a first-year student. We’ll help you transition back to school successfully.
Do you have orientation for new students?
Yes. New students attend orientation before classes start. You’ll meet other students, learn about campus resources, and get comfortable before day one.
Can my parents be involved in the application process?
Yes. We welcome parent involvement and can include them in meetings, campus visits, and financial aid discussions with your permission.
What if I'm not sure what to study?
That’s normal. Your admissions representative and academic advisor will help you explore programs and find the right fit for your interests and career goals.
