Learning for Life Program
Student Eligibility
The Learning for Life Program is designed for motivated high school juniors and seniors who want to experience college coursework while completing their junior or senior year of high school.
Eligibility requirements:
- Enrolled in public high school, private high school, homeschool, alternative learning center, or charter school
- High school junior or senior
- A 2.5 GPA or better in high school
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA at Academy College
Courses and Credits
Our dual enrollment program allows high school juniors and seniors to take college courses alongside traditional Academy College students, earning college credits.
Program structure:
- Earn the same college credits as traditional students
- Credits earned apply toward future Academy College degree programs
- Maximum of three courses
- Take one college course per quarter at Academy College
- Transferability to other institutions
- Tuition is waived for Learning for Life participants
- Residential, hybrid, and online course options
Student responsibilities:
- Arrange transportation to and from the Academy College campus for residential classes
- Follow Academy College’s academic policies and withdrawal procedures
- Pay the $40 application fee and purchase any required textbooks or materials for the course

How much does the program cost?
Tuition is waived for Learning for Life participants. Students are only responsible for textbooks, materials, supplies, and a $40 application fee.
How many courses can I take?
You can take one college course per quarter, with a maximum of three courses per academic year.
Will the credits transfer to other colleges?
Credits automatically apply toward future Academy College degree programs. Transfer to other institutions depends on their individual transfer policies and requirements.
What about transportation to campus?
Students and their families are responsible for transportation to and from Academy College. Yes. Most students qualify for financial aid. Our team is here to help you explore your options.
Can I withdraw from a course if needed?
Yes. You can withdraw following Academy College’s standard withdrawal policy. You must also notify your high school of your decision to withdraw from the program.
What GPA do I need to maintain?
You need a 2.5 GPA to enter the program and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA at Academy College to continue.
What programs can I explore through Learning for Life?
You can sample courses from aviation, business administration, accounting, technology, and general education.
