Student Eligibility

The Learning Institute program helps motivated learners with a high school degree take college coursework that enhances their skill set, prepares them for a career change, or paves the way for a new degree.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Graduate of a public high school, private high school, homeschool, alternative learning center, or charter school

Courses and Credits

Program structure:

  • Designed to support career growth
  • Credits earned apply toward future Academy College degree programs
  • Transferability to other institutions depends on their policies

Not under scope of accreditation.

Student responsibilities:

  • Arrange transportation to and from the Academy College campus
  • Follow Academy College’s academic policies and withdrawal procedures
  • Purchase required textbooks, materials, and supplies for each course

Applying for the Learning Institute is straightforward.

  3. Submit application materials: Complete Academy College and Learning Institute applications, provide a high school transcript, immunization records, and a $40 application fee. 
  4. Select your courses: Work with admissions to choose college courses aligned with your interests and availability.
  5. Register and start: Complete registration and begin your college experience.

Good questions

Any graduate of a public high school, private high school, homeschool, alternative learning center, or charter school

Tuition is $1,795 per course which lowers to $1,615 per class if you sign up for more than one class. Students are also responsible for textbooks, materials, supplies, and a $40 application fee.

You may take up to 3 courses per quarter, with a maximum of 12 per academic year.

Credits automatically apply toward future Academy College degree programs. Transfer to other institutions depends on their individual transfer policies and requirements.

Students and their families are responsible for transportation to and from Academy College.

Yes. You can withdraw following Academy College’s standard withdrawal policy.

You need a 2.5 GPA to enter the program and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA at Academy College to remain in the program.
