She earned her BFA in Comic Book Illustration at Minneapolis College
of Art & Design.
Currently completing her Master's in Liberal Studies at Hamline University,
her past education includes University of Wisconsin-Madison film school,
studying Accounting at Itasca Community College, bartending school (!)
and private tutoring in traditional animation techniques from Allen
Ginsberg (not the poet).
Her past jobs include retail, clerical, restaurant and foundry work.
She managed the Uptown Theatre for a couple years, and interned on the
comic book Omaha the Cat Dancer.
Aside from her Master's degree, current projects include contributing
guitar tracks to a benefit CD, completing a film script, and finalizing
her most recent comic, The Street Giveth
and the Street Taketh Away, in time for grant
submission at the end of July.
She also shook hands with Roger Ebert and Captain Kagaroo, on separate
occasions, and is fond of bragging about having seen Jimi Hendrix live.
She is excited about the challenges of being Program Coordinator, and
is eager to help make the Academy College's Graphics, Animation and
Web programs even better!
