Transferring Students
Have you already earned college credits at another school prior to attending Academy College?
Have you received flight training conducted under an FAA approved syllabus?
Have you been awarded PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options) credits through your high school?
If so, you may be eligible to transfer those credits or apply them to meet Academy College course prerequisites. Academy College will consider for transfer up to 40% of Associate and Bachelor Degree programs and 25% of Certificate programs.
At Academy College, we strive to make the process of transferring credits as seamless as possible. In fact, the process is quite easy. Simply request official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities to be sent direct to the Academy College Director of Education. The Director of Education will consider credit transfers from accredited colleges and universities if they meet the following criteria:
- The courses are similar in objective and content to those courses offered at Academy College
- The courses can be applied toward specific courses offered at Academy College
- The courses can be applied toward graduation requirements at Academy College
- The letter grade for the previously awarded course is “C” or above
- For certain courses, the comparable credits were completed within a recent time frame
If your previous credits do not meet the above listed qualifications, you may attempt to earn credit through a Test Out exam. Please see a member of the Academy College student services department for additional information.
*credit transfers of Private, Instrument, Commercial, or Multi-engine Flight may be subject to exam.
