The Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) benefit is made available to those who served a minimum of 90 combined days on active duty on or after September 11th, 2001 and received an honorable discharge. This benefit covers those that served active duty as a member of the Armed Forces or as a result of a call or order to active duty from a reserve component (Reserve and National Guard) under certain sections of title 10. Participants are eligible for $17,500 annually August-July. The Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30) is available to those who entered Active Duty after June 30th, 1985; completed at least two years of continued active service; contributed $1,200 to the program; received a high school diploma or GED; and received an honorable discharge. Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) is available to veterans who have been declared disabled by the Department of veterans Affairs due to service-related injury, go to http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/vre/.
The Veterans Educational Assistance Program-VEAP (Chapter 32) is available to those who entered the military after January 1st, 1977, contributed to the program, and did not contract with the Armed forces under a delayed entry. The Dependents Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) Program provided educational benefits to dependents and survivors of certain veterans who have extreme disabilities as the result of their service, (100% disabled), or who were mission in action, a prisoner of war or died of a service-connected cause, go to http://www.gibill.va.gov/benefits/other_programs/dea.html.
The Reserve GI Bill (Chapter 1606) is intended for individuals who enlist, re-enlist or extend their enlistment in the Selective Reserve for not less than six years and completed high school, GED or IADT as well as 180 days of service in the selective reserve and is satisfactorily participating in required Selective Reserve training go to http://www.gibill.va.gov/benefits/montgomery_gibill/selected_reserve.html.
The Chapter 1607 (REAP) for Activated Reservists After September 11th provides select reservists who were activated after September 11th, 2001 the eligibility option to either be eligible for education benefits or increased benefits, go to http://www.gibill.va.gov/benefits/other_programs/reap.html.

How to Apply for VA Educational Benefits
Access GI Bill Website at www.gibill.va.gov
Complete the online application by clicking on the VONAPP link at https://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp_ssl/login.asp (your DD214 will be required for VONAPP completion)
Submit copy of the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Academy College.
*Once eligibility is verified, students will be awarded the discount moving forward from the current term of enrollment. Discounts will not be applied to completed terms or to terms where there are no outstanding tuition charges. Discounts will not be applied for students eligible for the Post-911 GI Bill at 100%. Discounts may be adjusted or reversed if the student withdraws from all courses after the term start date.
